Justice is served…..really?

Usually I avoid writing the issues related to the politics and state affairs because the wholesome involvement of highly disgusting and obnoxious people. To me its a complete wastage of time, energy and emotions. It also destroy my peace of mind and also cause the bizarre and painful vibration in my nerves but yesterday some thing tragic happened which made me to write about that. The pardoning and departure of Raymond Davis left an unspeakable sadness and emptiness inside my heart and soul.
In the world of change where we are watching the fall of dictators in the region, people ask why  why the revolution is to coming in Pakistan. For me there are  two big and obvious reasons:
1) Imposturous, snakish and diabolical ruling elite which is literally slave of its own vested interests and therefore slaves of their British and American masters.
2) Corruption of  common men.
Think of a room filled with people and nauseating stink and you see the people are comfortable and you wonder why people are not appalled with the stink. Why no body is opening the windows and door or using air freshener or going out of the room. It simply means that people in that particular room have been accustomed with that stink. The same is with the Pakistan, in spite of all of the misery and sufferings we only talk about change as it is a job of  some one else.

Now Raymond Davis has been gone we heard that the Nawaz shareef is out for heart problem, Shahbaz Shareef for pay his brother a visit and the presiding judge for unknown reasons. The ruling elite seems to be relived and everybody seems happy that the issue has been resolved, blood money has been paid and to the relatives of victims and every one saw the documented evidence of blood money. justice is “prevailed” and we are told about the good news of” happy ending” but the story is not finished there are some questions which need answers. Also there are some stories about misuse of “diyat law” and forcing the relatives and their lawyers, departure of Raymond Davis despite his name in ECL, secrecy and urgency in final settlement etc.

The news are coming about the protest from the relatives of Shumaila Kanwal (faheem’s widow). We saw their firm resolution about the justice and they showed no interest in blood money they claimed that they never wanted blood money. Question is who is right? According to Punjab’s information minister Rana Sanaullah, Raymond is pardoned  by bereaved families of Faizan and Faheem and documents were shown by media. While the bereaved family of Shumaila Kanwal threatened by collective suicide. Earlier their protest was put down by lathi charge  injuring many of the family members. The lawyer of bereaved family accused Punjab government and especially Rana Sanaullah of unfair play and forcing the family to sign the documents. These reports put a huge question marks on the whole  settlement and especially the fact that third victim Ibad ul Rehman was completely ignored. Also there is a huge question marks on sovereignty , integrity and independence of judiciary. The manner in which the whole issue was put an end shows every thing but justice and enforcing the notion that judiciary is nothing but a power hungry institution like Pakistan army. I personally became deeply disappointed by the behavior of the senior judge.

Now there are some serious questions which need answers.
1) The whole issue was dealt under Islamic law of “Qasas and Diyat” . Whether or not diyat is paid, the most important allegation has been sidelined. Raymond’s roll in anti state activity is easily forgotten. No body investigated his alleged  contacts  with extremists, the equipments of spying, the weapons and the fact that his apprehension paralyzed the drone attacks and surge the bombings. Rana Sanaullah while talking in ARY program “Off the record” gave a ridiculous explanation that  anti terrorist activity was not mentioned in FIR and therefore was not an allegation. Wasn’t a duty of government especially Punjab govt:  to investigate ?
2) What about Ibad ul Rehman? why his family is ignored? Isn’t our judiciary is responsible for injustice?
3) The roll of judiciary and especially the session judge yousuf  Ojla. Wasn’t his duty to at least play an active role confirming that all parties are being paid properly. What happened to the higher judiciary ? Don’t they have real job rather challenging the  appointments of  high level government officials.
4)  Media reports have almost convinced us that under the patriotic and professional leadership of general Ashfaque Pervez Kiyani the Pakistan army changed its roll from “bharay key Tattoo” to the guards of the nation. We heard the stories of rivalries between ISI and CIA over the issue of national security. What is the roll of Pakistan army in whole issue? why these hot shots didn’t show any concerns against not having proper investigations?
5) What are reasons behind secrecy and urgency in final stages of the verdict?
6) Where both of the bereaved  families are gone?

The questions are many but irony is that we all know the answer. For me the answer is two words “vested interests”. vested interests of not only ruling elite but every one. The disease is such a widespread that our whole body is showing no sign of life. I think we are too late for survival in this hostile world.

Are you a right brain addict?

I always amazed by the extraordinary and unbelievable power of convincing people showed by the media. In today’s world reality is made to be more stranger than the fiction. People easily believe on lies  while truth remains obscure and faintly perceptible. In today’s world day can be proved as night and night can be as day. What is needed is just few smart, good looking and eloquent personalities in the media repeating same lies in palatable way. The genuine reason for such a dajjali success  lies in a  fundamental flaw in human think process. The human being use right brain much more than left brain. The right brain is the part of intuitive, subjective and holistic thinking. In easy language it is the area where perceptions rule. while the left brain is the area of critical thinking by using analysis, objectivity and rationality  as tools. It is therefore said that 13% of human beings look deeper in the issues, make critical thinking and then form an opinion. While 87% believe in common public perceptions. This inherent weakness of great majority of human being makes them vulnerable for control. If sufficient resources and technical information is provided, you can make them live in prison without bars, a prison of mind.

What I found really interesting that TV is nothing but a tool of hypnotism. It activate the human right brain side and keeps left brain side dormant and inactive. Whoever saw the thriller, horror and mysterious Hollywood movies can understand very well. The time  when we watch the movie, we become so absorbed in the movie that our heart rhythms ,brain activity, breathing patterns and adrenaline levels change according to the scenes in the movie and we forget that we are watching a movie. In other words we are hypnotized for a particular time. The after and long term effects on human psyche is a much more detailed and complicated issue.

Ask some one about global warming, till few years back ,I myself believed that our style of living is killing our environment. I am sure most of us still believe on this lie. After watching the “Inconvenient Truth”  by ex vice president of USA Mr. Al Gore , I believe whoever watch the movie will certainly become convince that human beings are destroying our environment and we are responsible for global warming. In his documentary Mr.Al Gore demonstrated a powerful discourse and remarkable convincing powers.   Now It has become a popular and common public perception but in reality there are some serious questions and concerns raised by scientific community against  the manner in which issue of global warming is raised.
Watch this documentary and test your perception.

It is also interesting to watch the debate and opinion change after the debate, held in New York on March14, 2007 by Intelligence Squared US.
